The Day Death Paid Grandma A Visit
On a day that conincided with everything else - a reunion, a graduation, a birthday, Tony Blair's resignation, and other things, all that was needed to disintegrate a memorable day was a phone call.
16 days before her 94th birthday, inevitable circumstances meant my parent's visit lasted 51 hours.
And sadly, on this hard-earned certificate that required sweat, tears and blood as a prerequisite, the mention of "the tenth day of May 2007" will forever represent something else.
Why is it only when someone cared about passes, your heart is filled with nothing much but regret?
One observation of the equilibrium of life upon one's demise is, normally, you'd be full of glee when someone despised goes, and you'd be overwhelmed by grief when someone cherished passes. So I guess this feeling is a good one.
Whatever it is, there can only be two things we can be sure of in life...
1) We will pay taxes
2) We will all die
Goodbye Ah Ma!
[edit] Before I forget, thanks monkeymafia, missyjac, J-dub, coldfirex, Deekin, broodis, VinaythePoo, Vish, Reno and of course BecBabez! It wouldn't have been as special a day if it wasn't for each and everyone one of you. Thank U!
